As we celebrate the completion of our 13th year in business and enter our 14th year of serving our community, I wanted to take an opportunity to share a little more about our team and why Grissom Law focuses on Estate Planning and includes Probate and Small Business into the practice.
The People
Grissom Law is focused on working with individuals and families. We enjoy the opportunity to get to know our clients and we consider our clients not only clients, but friends as well. Our focus allows us to work with our clients to plan for the future but it also allows us to walk through the hard times with our clients and to be a resource as they deal with challenges in life.
The Skillset
Prior to law school, my bachelor’s degree was in math and computer science. In addition to enjoying people, I enjoy numbers, formulas and processes. When I decided to leave corporate America and start a law firm, I naturally migrated to areas of law I enjoy as well as areas of law that take advantage of my skills and strengths:
- Estate Planning which requires working with individuals, couples and families; involves numbers as we look at tax implications, total estate value, etc.; and requires
consideration of the process/flow as gifts are made, beneficiaries pass, etc.;
- Probate which is largely a process and numbers as well as working with individuals and families as they work through the loss of a loved one; and
- Small Business which also draws on the same strengths.
The Team
Our firm focuses on Estate Planning, Probate and Small Businesses and by narrowing our focus, we are able to provide a deep level of knowledge and find unique solutions to our client’s problems. We are a team of four (4) individuals with various strengths and skills which allow us to support our clients in many areas. We in Johns Creek, Georgia for over 13 years and are involved in the community and continue to participate in local charities and events so that we are able to support our local community and our clients.
Working with an estate planning attorney is a personal experience in which our clients share private and sensitive information. The goal at Grissom Law is to form a relationship with our clients that lasts beyond the creation and execution of the documents themselves. Your estate planning attorney should be someone you are comfortable with who will address all your concerns and work with you as a part of your team to create the plan you envision.
