Grissom Law writes a lot of blogs, and we have an “about us” section on our webpage, but we’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a little more about our team.

  1. Our firm focuses on Estate Planning, Probate and Small Businesses. This means we are experts in estate planning documents like Wills, Living or Revocable Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, tax laws associated with estates, probate, health care decisions, and financial powers of attorney. By narrowing our focus on a few areas of law we are able to provide a deep level of knowledge and find unique solutions to our client’s problems.
  2. Grissom Law has been an estate planning firm in Johns Creek, Georgia for over 12 years. Susan Grissom has a math and computer science degree in addition to her Law degree as well as a career in nuclear materials management before becoming a premier estate planning attorney. We have years of experience behind us.
  3. Our firm does everything from the initial conversation to the execution of the estate plan documents. We also continue to work with our clients to update beneficiary designations, speak with financial planners, personal bankers, and CPAs so that our clients have a properly funded and functioning estate plan, not just a bunch of papers.
  4. At Grissom Law, we write continuous blogs, articles, and a weekly newsletter that is sent out to our clients to keep up to date with changes in the estate planning laws, tax laws, and periodic updates as the world changes. As client’s lives change, children grow, new children are born, grandchildren arrive, etc., we work with our clients to make sure their estate plan still works for their shifting lives.
  5. Our team currently consists of two attorneys and two administrative staff, but all employees of Grissom Law are able to assist clients with frequently asked questions. We work hard to assure that our phone is always answered by a live person, and if a more in-depth conversation is needed, we strive to respond to all client concerns by the end of business the same day.

Working with an estate planning attorney is a personal experience in which our clients share private and sensitive information. The goal at Grissom Law is to form a relationship with our clients that lasts beyond the creation and execution of the documents themselves. Your estate planning attorney should be someone you are comfortable with who will address all your concerns and work with you as a part of your team to create the plan you envision.
